Room with a View
We have gigantic trees in our backyard. Which is both very cool and very scary. Cool because it looks like a park and it’s all green and tree-y. Cool in the summer.
Crap in the fall with about a BABILLION leaves to rake. Crap during scary storms because a tree always falls over in our neighborhood — they are mature and old and dropping at an alarming rate. One fell out of our front yard across the street this winter. Eek!
So — this is a long way of saying that we are being pro-active and have taken down the two most scary trees in our backyard that always drop limbs at random times….and threaten to fall on the house. So down they came. The SO and I in a bid to save money decided we’d do the clearing of the trees ourselves. Silly silly peeps. Can you even IMAGINE how many leaves/branches/limbs/trunks/sticks that is? Here — let me help:

And this is after several days of work. Gah. It’s getting better though.
And in case you are also wondering (it’s a wondering sort of day) — here’s where I sit most of the time:

And just so you know. I am NOT addicted to Flickr. NOT. okay. maybe a little.

I have been dying to know where you sit!
Oh sad trees. Yes, I know EXACTLY how much stuff is left on the group when a tree comes down. But I never did two trees at once. Your backyard still looks very cool. Fisheye was the way to go. I lost your blog url for a while. Cleaned up my browser in a strange way. But I can find it agin. Now you go off and change everything.
Ah. so You. 8 days to Matt day. i can’t believe he’s that old!
LyM
Look at my mom trying to diagnose what lens i’m using…note to LYM — NOT a fisheye.
